                                   Jeffrey S. Akers Sr.

Pastor Akers dutifully serves God and his people in many facets across South Carolina and beyond, truly knowing his purpose. Owner of Jeff Akers Films and NJP Media, Jeffrey's passion for helping others is displayed on a daily basis. His emotionality for giving back began while he resided in Michigan at age 18, when he worked at The James R. Leonard Community Center as a music teacher. He later became music department director and a basketball coach for the facility, working with youth counselors, facilitating college tours, and athletic tournaments in the U.S. and Canada. Having developed programs like R.O.P.E, or The Right of Passage Experience, allowed him to cling to a community service program that mentored boys, young adults, and men to help build their self-esteem and direct them on how to carry themselves in society.

After serving the community of Port Huron Michigan and Dayton Ohio for several years, he has ventured upon new projects and various forms of community service in the South. Akers, while feeding the homless with his church members and community leader, Mr. Stacey Ashmore, was led to create PHO, Project Homeless Outpost, which provides supplies and much needed attention to the homeless population in Greenville and surrounding areas like Whitehorse Rd., Old Buncombe Rd., Washington St., and Poinsett Hwy. He has even created a docu-film from the point of view of homeless citizens, which will begin circulation in the early Fall of 2015.

Jeffrey is the current Pastor of I Am Church in Greenville,SC a congregation that instills the notion that church lives in people, not necessarily in the edifice. Akers is also the Pastor of Internet Apostolic Church (IAC World Ministries) that stream live recordings every Sunday morningfor the lasr 12 years . His walk with God also directed him to become the Multimedia Marketing Director for The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. International Missions Department, where he oversees technological needs and creative makerting strategies  for an international mission ministry, serving our brothers and sisters in Christ across the world. Akers' media campaigns have already raised thousands of dollars for foreign missions around the world. Akers is now determined to make a difference locally.

Stacey Ashmore

You will always find Stacey serving the community and representing the needs of youth from all our communities and their need for accurate information and good decision making skills.  Stacey does his best and is happiest when he has turned out a large audience and is in the middle of them answering questions. Stacey has several years under his belt serving the Greenville community and he is an outstanding leader for youth. His passion for helping other goes far beyond his employment position with Greenville Family Partnership's. Mr. Ashmore and his family, along with many partners and his local church, have taken a stand to help the homeless.  Stacey was recognized as one of Greenville's Black Historians for his outstanding work in the community among other community service awards and recognitions. His passion for helping others is infectious and helps to bring change in very difficult times, within our communities.

Project Homeless Outpost  is a privately funded human service project. It is funded by private interests, as opposed to the government.  Project Homeless Outpost exists to provide a service to society and improve the quality of life in the  communities where we serve. People often turn to human service agencies when they experience a crisis and need external help to move forward.
