One way to help out the homeless in our community is to put together Survival Kits. These kits are pretty basic, but when you have no place to live, simple things can make a big difference. Suddenly, things we take for granted become IMPORTANT.
Staying warm is a good thing, and staying dry is even better. When we are caught out in the rain without cover, one of the first things we do when we arrive home is replace our dry socks. When its cold, nothing helps you stay warm like a snuggly hat and gloves. A plastic rain poncho is great and cheap when you can't get to your raincoat, and for people without a raincoat, they can make a huge difference.

Countless indignities come with being homeless. It can be hard to find a place to shower, let alone use a bathroom. There’s nowhere to store your belongings, so they can be stolen or cleared by police. Not to mention the stigma from citizens who may judge you for your predicament.

But women who find themselves homeless face a unique problem: getting the sanitary products they need during thier monthy cycles. Just as with other personal products, they may not be able to purchase them, but unlike toothpaste and shampoo, pads and tampons are rarely donated to shelters. But you can help make the difference.

Homeless men, women and children are in great need of adequate shoes. It is our goal and vision to help these individuals by providing them with a good pair of shoes. Since walking is often the only mode of transportation for the homeless, shoes are vitally important. We are hopeful that providing shoes will significantly improve their quality of life and give them the ability to have comfort and protection for their feet. This effort can also help in the prevention of other medical problems.
